Supporting the future of paramedicine.
Our Mahi.
-
Advocacy
We serve as the representative body for paramedic students in Aotearoa New Zealand, supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate learners. By listening to their experiences and addressing national challenges faced by paramedic students, we ensure their voices are heard. We advocate on their behalf through engagement with universities, professional associations, and other key stakeholders.
-
Equity
We are committed to honouring our obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, recognising its significance in guiding our values and actions. We strive to empower paramedicine students to develop cultural safety, enabling them to provide care that is respectful and responsive to the needs of the communities they serve. Additionally, we are deeply committed to addressing health inequities, particularly those affecting the paramedicine field. In alignment with these principles, we are dedicated to ensuring equitable representation on the ANZSPA board, reflecting the diverse voices and identities of our student paramedic community.
-
Education
We provide educational experiences for paramedicine students across Aotearoa New Zealand, fostering growth and enhancing learning throughout the year. Our aim is to provide educational experiences and unite paramedicine students, supporting their professional development and building a strong, connected community.
-
Engagement
Our goal is to unite paramedicine students from across Aotearoa New Zealand, fostering connections and networks with peers, universities, and professional bodies. Through a variety of events held throughout the year, we strive to inspire, empower, and strengthen the paramedicine community.
