AUTSPA is Auckland University of Technology’s (AUT) Student Paramedics Association, run by paramedic students for paramedic students. They have been a student-led committee for over a decade! AUTSPA fosters a safe and inclusive environment, promoting and protecting Te Tiriti o Waitangi within the paramedicine programmes.

AUTSPA organise and deliver fun educational events to uplift their community and encourage inter-connectedness across semesters and student backgrounds. Events are tailored towards the Paramedicine degree and student experience. They provide helicopter days, FENZ nights, Hato Hone St John work opportunities presentations, social and networking opportunities, and the annual AUT Paramedicine Ball. AUTSPA has a mission to improve student experience and help prepare students for future career pathways and/or tertiary education. By being student-led they can create a welcoming space where students' perspectives and needs are always placed first.

The AUTSPA committee is composed of an elected executive team, sub-committees, and committee members. There are currently two co-presidents, Summer Pinn and Sam Dannenberg. Alongside them, the co-Secretaries, Treasurer, and Advisors complete the executive team.

Sub-committees are involved in events, social functions and media, and academics, each headed by their respective captain. Other positions include a Cultural Advisors and Communications Officer.

Members of AUTSPA are actively involved in furthering the student Paramedicine community. All members work in tandem with each other and the executive team.

We are always eager for new committee members! Whether it is to raise issues or ideas that burn a fire in your bellies, be a part of a community of like-minded individuals, or have an interest in leadership - we want you!

For 2025, we are seeking committed, conscientious, and inspired paramedicine students from semesters two and above wanting to make an impact on their student community. If this sounds like you, please be in touch with us!
